Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there should be something which you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, that which was it?”
“Trust,” I said.
Think about your daily life because it is apparently these days when it comes to the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So whenever we speak about the final stage to the awakening being pure trust, it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon all of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It’s kind of like creating a big house of cards acim mp3, stacking using one card after the other. Then the good wind comes along and poof, it’s just blown over. It can’t even stand a little gust of wind. It’s so frail. It’s so temporary. It’s so transitory; It had been this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon the rest; all those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It certainly comes down seriously to the essence of who’s my brother? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried any particular one?So you’re asking the question, “When someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will highlight is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination. That is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn’t reality at all. There’s no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to construct his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons begin with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I’ve given everything I see all the meaning it’s for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number 4, “These thoughts don’t mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s referring to thoughts. First He’s referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts don’t mean anything.” You can see he’s wanting to melt everything together and show the final veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there’s no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us that they’re all illusions and that they’re all equally meaningless. That’s precisely the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things. What sort of things do you purchase, these days?
